Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken a wetlands reserve in Burton mere

Time

It was around 2:30pm on a late afternoon walk

Lighting

The natural lighting for this image was sitting directly behind me and setting a beautiful light over the robin as the sun began to set

Equipment

I used a Nikon z6ii with a sigma 150-600mm

Inspiration

Along the walk I came upon this robin an he was just beautiful in that light all nice and relaxed and it just made me feel content an peaceful I wanted to capture this in the image so everyone who views it could also feel the same way

Editing

I added a little sharpness and contrast to the image and a slight crop

In my camera bag

The Nikon z6ii always the sigma 150-600mm and a sigma 105mm macro along with a X2 converter and camo to hide from certain wildlife

Feedback

Respect the animal first and foremost to achieve the full aspect that they can offer, always be sure you have the right settings for you and the lighting at the time, being eye level with the bird makes for a better shot as it's the eye contact that really grabs your attention
