Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife

Time

This is one of my favourite photos taken in the morning blue hour. The colours in the sky were amazing and being able to catch the reflection in the calm water made it extra special.

Lighting

I wanted to use the leading lines of the Jetty and the clouds to draw the viewers eyes to the horizon.

Equipment

Being on holiday, I used my Samsung S21 Ultra phone camera. No tripod. Placing my camera on the edge of the Jetty to get the lowest level.

Inspiration

I wanted to find a calm area of water to get the best reflection of the amazing sky colours.

Editing

I used snapseed to do very little post processing. Only adding a slight amount of saturation.

In my camera bag

The quality I have found from my Samsung s21 ultra has made it my go to camera as it comes with me everywhere.

Feedback

The blue hour just before sunrise or just after sunset produces amazing colours to be captured.
