Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Glasgow Scotland. Amongst a very passionate protest about our earths climate.

Time

The photo was taken around 7PM GMT - The protest lasted quite a few hours before it then separated.

Lighting

Lighting was difficult. With streetlights helping slightly the only saving grace was the fact my 5D Mark II handled low light like a champ, and the helicopter shining the spotlight on us.

Equipment

I used my trusty Canon 5D Mark II, paired with both my Canon 50mm f/1.8 and 70-200 f/2.8 - A great combo.

Inspiration

What inspired me? Well, In short it was the people passion for their protest. Out earths climate is changing rapidly, and these people made it their mission to get that point across.

Editing

Post processing was fairly easy. With slight noise reduction as the photos were taken at ISO 5000, as well as some colour and exposure adjustments.

In my camera bag

In my bag, I carry everything I need from charging cables to SD/CF readers. My cameras I use are the Canon 1DX & 5D Mark II. My lenses are the holy trinity, all Canon; • 17-35mm f/2.8 • 24-105mm f/4 • 70-200mm f/2.8

Feedback

Get stuck into the action, I had to work my way through police blockades to get right into the scene.
