If you are lucky to have a backyard, then you can cultivate an environment to invite nature to do it's thing i.e. attract birds, wildlife and you have a good outdoor studio to learn and get some good captures. I have always been fascinated by God's amazing creations - each unique in its own way and just to watch and learn how carefree they can be is a stress reliever. You don't know anything about them, not will you see them again - but a lot gets captured in that photograph it feels like they are part of your world, and you have a relationship with them through the creator !!Editing
Other than cropping - not much post processing. In my camera bag
Recently switched to the lighter Olympus OM-D MIII system as the Canon equipment was heavy and my shoulders were hurting. Lens range - 7-14mm (2.8) 12-40mm (2.8) 40-150mm (2.8) 1.4 X and 2.X convertors and 100-400 tele photo. Always carry a bunch of filters for landscape photography esp. sunset and sunrises are one of my favorites.Feedback
Practice gives confidence not how technologically advance your gear is. Create an environment where you can practice like your backyard - plant shrubs, add trees and bird feeders and enjoy nature. It takes a lot of tries before you connect with the gear and get that almost perfect shot. Get inspired by fellow photographers who are always willing to share tips and teach you new things. Know your gear like you know you smartphone or your car !
