Behind The Lens

Location

The ink was dropped in water in a fish tank. I took a self portrait & combined them.

Time

It was mid morning for both shots.

Lighting

I put the tank in the shade and used an off camera flash to fill the tank with light. The tank had a white foam board under it & behind it.

Equipment

Canon R6, Canon Rf 24-105mm, Goddox off camera flash.

Inspiration

I entered a contest themed Bold Colors. I really wanted to try something new & unique to stand out.

Editing

Yes. I combined the two images by making sure they were both on white backgrounds to make the blending easier.

Feedback

Take your time….it takes a few tries. Test your lighting & focus area by putting a spoon or pencil in the water first. Use acrylic ink. Surround your tank with white foam boards to bounce & fill the tank with enough light.
