This picture was taken on The sacred Indian burial grounds that holds a famous place in our history, a place to go and feel connection to the land. We are looking at the Mississippi River Valley where the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers merge. The Ojibwe word is Bdote, meaning where two rivers merge. In 1851 a treaty was signed here to sign over land, but after it was signed they were moved to the other side of the river, where many died.
