I took this photo from home in my backyard. Just taking shots with a new camera and lens of just about anything and disturbed my sleeping cat on his favorite walkway.Time
It was somewhere between noon and 3 pm. River Boy (my cat) loves his afternoon naps and his walkway.Lighting
I really didn't have an image in mind when shooting around the yard but my animals seem to take nice shots. River is has a very comical personality and I do like to capture that.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Canon 90D 18-135 lens. No special lighting.Inspiration
New camera and lens inspired me to take this photo. I'm completely new into photography. River was a kitten we resued from a river Bank that someone apparently dropped off along with his mom and sibling. My sister kept the momma as she would be harder to place in a home. Found a good home for sibling and of course a good home for River. River named River Boy being saved from the River bank. He is 3 years old now and just a gorgeous cat with a happy sunny personality that will inspire photos of him. Winter time especially as he gets a full glowing main that cascades his beautiful dark face.Editing
I remember I was trying to shoot different modes with the camera. Trying to learn manual as well. Shooting everything raw. I do not remember if I did any cropping but there was no other post-processing than possibly cropping. I'm not only new to photography but also photography lingo! In my camera bag
I always carry my Canon 90D along with a 18-135 lens, a 70-300 lens and a 420-800 telescope lens. I have not practiced with the 420-800 yet. Still practicing with first two lens.Feedback
I'm to new at photography to give any advise but to say with digital no shot is a waisted shot. When I was much younger photography was an expensive hobbie on the income my family had from buying film to development. No one in my family did photography because of income. I am now learning the digital and find my two grandson are really interested and enjoying it it also! A great learning experience and memories for all 3 of us!
