Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken years ago so I don't remember exactly. I think it was on the hike up to Hanging Lake in Colorado.Time
It was probably mid-morning around 10-ish. I don't remember much about this photo.Lighting
It was covered in trees. A lot of shade so it balanced out the light.Equipment
Canon XSI with it's kit lens 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II. I was just getting into photography (really haven't taken it seriously until this year). Set it on a rock for the slow shutter speed because I didn't have a tripod.Inspiration
I was on a hike and came across this stream.Editing
I didn't do much. Just brought up the saturation a bit.In my camera bag
Now that I have taken photography more seriously I shoot with a Canon 6D. I love my 17-40mm f/4L! Aside from that I bring a 70-200mm f/2.8 and a 50mm 1.8.Feedback
Always have your camera ready and even if you think something looks remotely interesting take a picture. Move around your subject and take photos at different camera settings. You never know what you'll end up with!
