I took this photo on my way to the pub in the Pyrennées (south of France) in the skiing station of Cauteret on a little birdge crossing the river that cut the city in 2.Time
It was kinda late in the afternoon, after a skiing day, during winterLighting
As said for the time of the day, it was late in the afternoon, winter time in a valley, so little lighting here. But it was what I wanted to be able to set a long exposure giving the silky look to the water by smoothing the turbulencesEquipment
I used my Sony A37, with the lense from the buying pack (18-55mm Sony) and nothing more than the handrail from the bridge as a stabilizerInspiration
I saw lots of long exposure photo of river, I liked them because they give a sensation of time passing-by even if it is a fixed image and I wanted to practice doing them. So I practiced with different parameters in the same spot to improve my game with this king of picturesEditing
I didn't do any processing (except for adding a signature at the bottom), because I like the coldness of the color, with matched quite well the look of it (with the snow) and the feeling I had when taken itIn my camera bag
In my photo bag I carry my A37 with the 18-55 Sony and 70-300mm Tamron macro lens mounted on it. I also carry as a backup a Canon Powershot A3100is (witch is my diving camera) and a GoPro Hero3 white with some accessoriesFeedback
Use your environment !! Even if you don't have a tripod with you, the floor, or a table, or a big rock are perfectly stable so you can stabilize yourself or your camera with it
