Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my home, in the province of Ontario, Canada. My cat Gabby, is an indoor cat, but we take her outside as a treat occasionally. So in this picture she’s in her happy mother’s place, outside relaxing and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

Time

I love this picture of Gabby because it captures her attitude “ I am Queen”. It was a beautiful fall day taken in the afternoon. I do not remember the name exact time though.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny day but not as intense as the summer sun. It was the ideal time to get this picture. It just worked out purrr-fectly ????

Equipment

I used my Cannon Rebel T6i Dsrl camera. No tripod was used, nor were any filter filters added.

Inspiration

I just decided to try and get some current photos, of Gabby, with better lighting than what I have in my home.

Editing

I cropped the picture and added a slight blurr to the background so that Gabby was the sole focus.

In my camera bag

I carry my camera and two lenses in my camera bag. The stock lens that came with the camera, better for macro and small distances. And the other lense for better zoom.

Feedback

Check the positioning of the sun or lighting. If the sun is too high it might create too much glare and harshness to the image. I also took this picture with very muted grey/blue siding as the back ground. This allowed it soften the image and reduce the contrast and competition of the subject.
