Here's something a bit different from my usual landscapes and nature photos...
Back in August, I had a go at some street photography. After reviewing my photos, I thought I had no true "street photography" worth posting. I think I must have missed this one!
It's not the cleverest of compositions in the world... but I was drawn to the warm colours of the hanging flowers, shop window and the granite stonework of Truro Cathedral opposite - against the cool tones of the shaded areas. I heavily accentuated this colour contrast in post processing.
I framed up my composition, waited for some people to walk into frame as a focal point, and clicked the shutter on burst mode.
I was using my 50mm prime lens, but I feel that it really wasn't up to the job. If anyone wants to buy me an 85mm prime (recommended by Mark McGee for street photography) for Christmas, don't hold back! 😂
Canon 6D MkII | 50mm prime lens | ƒ-4.5 | 1-100 sec | ISO 1600 | Handheld | No filters | Lightroom | Taken at Truro on 30-08-2021
