Behind The Lens
Location
The photo had been taken during Israeli Independence day's fireworks performance.Time
I prepared wide lens beforehand. Used tripod for this shot. 10 minutes before fireworks performance started, I allocated position in about 500m from place where fireworks were lunched from. Camera had been fixed on tripod. Lens focus had been placed to Manual mode and to focus to infinity. Initial shutter speed had been defined to 4 sec. I captured few lunches and adjusted camera direction and tried shutterspeeds between 2 sec to 8 seconds. At the end, most optimal was 4 sec. This shot was 6 or 7th in order.Lighting
Skies were clear, without any clouds - most optimal for such kind of photography.Equipment
I used following gear: camera - Olympus OM-D EM-1 mark II Lens - Canon EF 28-105 + Viltrox EF-M adapter TripodInspiration
Colors of fireworksEditing
Yes, performed very basic post-processing in photoshop: 1. Crop to better frame foreworks 2. Added some brightness and saturationIn my camera bag
It depends on occasion: for nature and landscape photography I prefer Tamron 17-50 or Sigma 10-20 lens For birds and other wildlife - Tamron 100-400. For travel - Olympus has perfect kit - 14-50 and 50-150, Those lenses are very versatile and covers most of traveler's needs. and last one - my favorite Tamron 90mm macro, This is perfect lens for nature, especially for macro shots of flowers and insects.Feedback
Most important thing- to come prepared and with right gear. Also some patience would assist a lot - Don't expect very first frame to be ideal, you need to take few frames and and adjust camera definitions according to situation and results of previous captured frames.
