I did not take this photo! This is me with two of the biggest fish I've ever caught. Two Halibuts caught on a charter out of Valdez, Alaska, in the summer of 1993. 171 lbs. and 55 lbs. Great eating (for many months) and a great memory of my 8 years living in Alaska.

OMG I can fire up the BBQ if you bring the fish. My favorite fish. It the best when cooked right. The stuff from Alaska is so white and flaky ,,, What we get here in Calif is good but the stuff from Alaska is great…..

Halibut is my favorite too, but I do love Salmon also. I used to make Halibut Chowder a lot and did mostly bake it. I lived in Alaska for 8 years and when Halibut and Salmon fishing every year.
