Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was take on Mt Eden in Auckland New Zealand

Time

The photo was taken in the early afternoon on a walk with my daughter, it just caught my eye as it was a lonely tree blowing in the breeze

Lighting

The original photo was in colour, however it was rather gloomy day so I adjusted it to black and white to compensate for the dull lighting and made the photo 10x better.

Equipment

Out of all the photos on my page this is the only photo where I used an actual DSLR camera that I borrowed (yes I borrowed it from my mother ????) it is a nikon D50 which is almost 20 years old, the lens was just a standard 50-200mm.

Inspiration

I was just looking for things that caught my eye (I will photograph anything), and with this being a lonely tree it just popped out at me.

Editing

Apart from changing from colour to black and white all I really did was adjust the exposure of the sky so it wasn't so washed out

In my camera bag

At this point 99.9% of my photos are taken on my Samsung galaxy s20 ultra so I don't really use a bag, I occasionally use my tripod that I've attached a Bluetooth remote to.

Feedback

Always take multiple photos of the same thing, it some times takes 10 captures to find just the one right photo
