Yes, the flowers are very red even in reality and they remind a little bit of chinese lanterns.

I have been waiting for years to see this bush to bloom so much. But this summer was perfect - both with sunshine and rain - and now we can see the strong colored red flowers with orange seeds.

There are so many branches and so many flowers on each branch that it was necessary to choose a part of one branch to get ok composition.
Even to focus with appartureblades more open would only give some of the flowers in focus. Instead I have chosen to have more flowers in focus with an F-number normally used for landscape photography.
