Location
This photo was taken at Copper Creek Falls, in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The falls can be found off of the Boulder Park trailhead. It's a fairly easy hike to the falls. It's beautiful scenery.Time
We made it to the falls around noon.Lighting
I am still learning to work with the slower shutter speeds. It was bright daylight hours, so I used a neutral density filter to capture this shot.Equipment
I used a canon 7D, no flash, no tripod, I used a nearby rock to hold the camera steadyInspiration
I love water photography. The ocean, lakes, rivers, streams. I'm just attracted to water.Editing
I did some basic contrast and exposure adjustments, but the photo came out fairly well on it's own, so there wasn't much to be done with it.In my camera bag
I typically take with me just a camera, and whichever lens I opt to use for the outing. My lens cleaner and I sometimes pack along the tripod, but I do a lot of hiking to get to some of these photos, so the less I have to pack around with me the better.Feedback
Take your time, take many shots of the same scene, when shooting moving water, it will never be exactly the same shot twice, so you'll have more to choose from and hopefully a couple that turn out really good.
