We had a wonderful portfolio day last year with lots of fun and nice pictures in the Lüneburger Heide in Germany, there I took this photo.Time
It was twenty after eight pm in August last year.Lighting
It was a great sunset, to soften the strong sun i arranged the tree in front of the sunset.Equipment
I used my Nikon D500 with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8.Inspiration
I wanted to show the great bond between Janina and her horse Foster.Editing
Yes. First I adjusted brightness and colors using Lightoom. Then I moved on with Photoshop. I retouched the rope Janina used to hold Foster. I also edited the fur to look cleaner and removed a few disturbing elements. Then I adjusted the light again in Photoshop. In my camera bag
What I always have when doing pictures are my Nikon D500 and my Sigma 70-200 f2.8. What also shouldn't be missing is one of my photo halters, which I use to make the photos look like the horse is standing free, because in most situations you cannot really have it standing free.Feedback
Take your time, look out for the correct spot and don't be afraid of trying different things out.
