Behind The Lens

Location

I took this while me my husband and stepson was walking around the water in Washington DC one night. It started to rain a little bit and fog started to set in making all of the monuments that's lit up at night a breathtaking view for us. I couldn't not stop and take a picture, well about 20 pictures. The reflection off the water and the lights reflecting through the fog was just perfect!

Time

It was about 8 p.m. if I remember correctly.

Lighting

It was dark out already. I didnt do anything special, this picture is all natural! It was all the right ingredients to make a great shot. Night, rain, fog and the glow of all of the lights in D.C. is just spectacular!

Equipment

Honestly, I used my phone! I have a Samsung galaxy s21 ultra and it takes awesome pictures. I have limited income so I cannot afford a real camera of any sorts unfortunately, but I'd love to be able to invest in one someday if I'm lucky enough.

Inspiration

I just love to try to catch unique things! I was trying to learn to use the camera on my new phone, so I took about 20 pictures until I felt I got the right one and this one was it!

Editing

No I didnt do anything to it.

In my camera bag

I don't have anything in my bag, I don't even have a bag to put anything in if I wanted to! I only have a phone to use for a camera, and it'll do for now I guess. I'm hoping at some point I'll be able to invest in a real camera, but until then my phone will have to do.

Feedback

I just to to think outside the box when I take my pictures. I do everything from laying on the ground to getting in the water to standing on things to get what I think is the best angle etc!
