ð Polstreath, Mevagissey ðâï¸ð
I hadn't known about Polstreath, just north of Mevagissey, until recently. I saw some pictures posted on social media of the steps down to the beach with seemed like a bit of an adventure!
At first, the sky was very overcast - so I snapped some minimal long exposure shots (one posted, one to come!). But as the sun rose a little higher, it broke through the clouds enough to colour the sky a little - allowing me to later enhance in post processing. The cloudy sky behind me acted as a reflector - bouncing sunlight back onto the shaded side of the rocks to expose their detail.
The sea was quite calm, but after making dozens of attempts, I did manage to capture some movement in the water for some foreground support to the dramatic sky.
Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 24mm | Æ-11 | 0.8 sec | ISO 100 | Tripod | ND soft grad filter | Lightroom & Photoshop | Taken at Polstreath Beach on 14-08-2021
