A pink moth orchid, Phalaenopsis, one of the trends in hybridizing to create a more pronounced lip, known as a flat lip. Some of them have, in my opinion, been taken too far making the lip look just like another petal and therefore totally destroying what makes an orchid different from other flowers. I therefore really didn't like them at first, but am starting to like a few. Shown with some of my one of a kind postcard background starts recently found from the '80's or early '90's. for Valentines and a vintage glass block.
