Location
I took this photo outside my home in Randolph, Vermont, on a piece of land hidden from the street and from an HOA that doesn’t appreciate the beauty of a “wild” lawn.Time
This was taken by chance, like most of my photos. I had gone outside on my regular mid-day pumpkin patch check, having just saw the Viewbug announcement for the Yellow photo contest. And there is was: a giant Evening Primrose, watching over my young pumpkins!Lighting
Overcast skies provide excellent lighting when you’re looking for depth of image and without shadows.Equipment
I used an iPhone XR. That’s it.Inspiration
I loved looking at tye sharp contrast of the yellow flowers against all the green foliage, and the wooden stake the Primrose grew on was in just the right position. It felt like an image worth remembering. Especially because so few people value the beauty and benefits of natural growth in their yards.Editing
Nope.In my camera bag
O normally have my iPhone wherever I go, but in my bag, I carry a Fuji X Pro 2 with a 35mm lens already attached and ready to go.Feedback
