Thank you for entering my Dramatic Skies Challenge. This has been one of the hardest challenges I've ever run in order to be able to pick just one. Your images was one of my favorite finalists!

Thank you so very much. It was a once in a life time site. Greatly appreciative.

Congratulations on winning the Dramatic Skies Challenge! There were many AMAZING entries but ultimately, I kept coming back to yours. The collection of cirrus, mammatus and thunderhead clouds captured me and I couldn't help but feel awed as I imagined myself standing under such a sky. Beautiful capture - WELL DONE!!

Thank you, I was learning this site at the time and did not truly understrand what had happened here. Now that i have been using this app for awhile now i understand exactly what an honor this is. I felt i needed to truly express my gratitude correctly. This Photo has wowd many people. I always feel as thoe i was cheating using my phone to take this pic. ultimately this photo and having taken it with a phone is the reason i purchased my first camera and the others since.

Wow, Thank you so much. I appreciate the honor very very much. The storm that was in those clouds was impressive to say the least. I remember the drainage ditches had white caps.

Location
This photo was taken in Kindersley Saskatchewan about 6 years agoTime
The photo was taken around 4pm in the summer.Lighting
The day was grey but nothing extraordinary about the light considering the look of the clouds.Equipment
This was actually shot with a Android Note 4. Still to this day hands down the best camera I have ever had in a phone camera.Inspiration
I saw the clouds. If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.Editing
I can't remember if there was anything done to this photo. I'm guessing some contrast, tone saturation... best guess. In my camera bag
I normally have a t4i and a 1Div. A 50mm of course, 18 - 200mm is, 70 - 200mm is. I use a few old FL glass with adapters. The color depth and sharpness really pop. Some macro lenses as well. I'm not really one for numbers. I know what does what and that's why the numbers are written on the lens.Feedback
There were people all along the sides of the roads. They were in parking lots with tripods and 10000 dollar set ups. I'm sure they got some impressive shots. But just because you don't have the best gear. Don't shy away from taking the shot. The worst photo you can take is the one you never took at all.
