Back story: My favorite flowers are yellow roses. Knowing this, my friend gave me a bouquet of yellow roses when I came to visit him in Texas last winter. Later, it was time to head home and I'd forgotten my flowers! As you can imagine, when I realized that, I was very disappointed.

Knowing this, said friend did everything he could to preserve them - including putting Miracle Grow & other additives into the water! Months later, when I was able to get back down there, this rose was the last one standing.

Granted, it crumbled when touched but I took this photo before that happened. A remembrance....

BTW, we took the crumbled remains and added them to mulch for new yellow rose bushes :)
