The hard bright light from the sun was diffused by passing through a translucent plastic bag to get a soft light to hit on the apples. The even light on the apples surrounded by the plastic bag is what inspired me to take this shot and it looked good in black and white.Editing
I sharpened, corrected the white balance and finally turned this image into black and white and played with contrast.In my camera bag
