I took this photo one morning as I was travelling from London to Cleethorpes to visit my parents.Time
It was taken just after 11am on a cold, misty, autumn morning, November 2020.Lighting
I always glance into these woods as I pass them on my drive home. This particular morning I noticed the sun was shining through the trees and fog and creating beautiful sun rays. Luckily I had my Canon EOS R with me so I parked up and headed into the woods to take some photos.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS R and Canon RF 24-70 f2.8 lensInspiration
I love the woods and on this particular morning the light and fog was a perfect combination as I was passing by.Editing
I did a little post processing in photoshop RAW. Bringing down the highlights a little, increasing the vignette and removing some luminous green dots which were sprayed onto some of the tress. In my camera bag
I generally only have my iPhone 12 pro on me at all times which I also used on this morning but if I go out with the intention of shooting I take my Canon EOSR and 24-70mm 2.8 lens.Feedback
Just keep looking around you wherever you are. Golden hour light makes everything look better but you can always improve any shot with a little post processing.
