Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my friend’s backyard. I initially planned on shooting elsewhere that day but my plans fell through.

Time

It was mid morning on a Sunday and since the clouds didn’t roll in as expected I figured a sunflower would be appropriate.

Lighting

As I shoot primarily nature and landscapes, my speed light seldomly leaves my bag, this is all Mother Nature’s light.

Equipment

Canon 6D Mark II CANON EF 300mm 1:4 L IS Shot from about 6 feet away from the subject.

Inspiration

I love watching nature at work.

Editing

Using Lightroom, all I did was crop it and remove some light from the background while adding some warmth to the pedals.

In my camera bag

My setup is pretty simple. I shoot with a 6DmkII paired with my trusty 300mm or a 14mm if I need a wide shot. I will add to my bag as I can, but my journey as a photographer is still in it’s infancy.

Feedback

Never give up and know your equipment. Always be prepared!
