Here's another shot from a pretty fruitful trip to Crantock Beach a couple weeks ago. There's more to post... I hope you don't get bored of seeing my photos from this spot!

I spent the hour before sunset looking for compositions from Crantock's dunes (see earlier post). But after the sun dipped below the horizon, its afterglow still caught the distant haze. This time of day is known to landscape photographers as "blue hour" - due to the blueish hues (which I in fact toned down). These blue tones made for a great colour contrast with the sunset afterglow.

I composed this shot with these small sandy "islands" as a foreground anchor with Pentire and West Pentire Peninsulas in the background.

Even though this is a popular beach with visitors, I often like my photos to appear untouched by humans... this could have been a scene from prehistoric times!
