The Milky Way rising above the horizon at the beach at St. Finian's Bay, Co. Kerry. I bought a Move Shoot Move rotator specifically for night shots and brought it with me for this shoot, unfortunately I managed to leave the laser behind and so couldn't align with Polaris as accurately as I'd like. Still, being able to just peer up through the hole and see Polaris was able to give me a surprisingly accurate alignment.

This was a panorama completed using just over fifty shots, each of a 30 second exposure time using the kit lens at f3.5, but I'm hoping to go back and shoot again with the laser. Perhaps I might also use the Sigma lens which may have a narrower focal range, but gives me a f-1.4 aperture.

Reasonably pleased with this and hoping to do better in the future.
