I am a full time RVer. This amazing sunset was shot overlooking the 12th fairway of the RV park, I am currently at near Yuma, Arizona.Time
This was captured in the first few moments of the golden hour setting in, 7:30 pm (MST), mid July.Lighting
In the desert, the wind can become pretty strong during monsoon season. The airborne desert sand particles reflect all the intense colors of the sunset while illuminating the atmosphere. Mother Nature provided all this fabulous natural lighting.Equipment

The sunsets in Arizona are consistently jaw dropping. I wanted to capture the sky when it was just changing from blue to orange. I also knew if I could capture it a few days after a sandstorm It would be intense. So as I walked with anticipation to my location my eyes darted around so fast scouting out the perfect spot. But it didn’t feel beautiful nor peaceful. I did not want my viewer to experience the amount of scenery chaos, I did. I stepped away & broke apart the beauty before me into sections, repeating this process rather quickly in my mind until I came up with this composition. It is exactly what my mind inspired. The sand path leading to the sun, along with the contrasting layers directing you through the scene, brings the viewer to the explosion of color from the sky.Editing

Try to predict what your location will look like under different conditions. Its ever changing outdoors. Pay attention to your borders when shooting landscapes. Use them & other features to help move the eye through your photo.
