Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was captured while having a pic nic with my 3 year old daughter at Kirstenbosch Gardens, he was looking for scraps to eat.

Time

Lunch time pic nic around 11/12 am

Lighting

Mid day is not the best of times to shoot but the trees provided shade over this inquisitive Robin

Equipment

Canon 550D I will need to check which lens I used.

Inspiration

I just had my camera in the right place at the right time. It took a while to capture this as my 3 year old couldn't keep still.

Editing

I only opened it up in Photoshop and adjusted the levels.

In my camera bag

Normally carry my Canon 550D and Canon 50mm macro lens as well as my Canon 5D mark 4 with the Canon 24 - 70mm zoom lens. I have yet to purchase a 300mm + zoom lens.

Feedback

Kirstenbosch gardens is full of beautiful flowers, wild life and textures. It's the perfect spot to relax for the day and find some amazing shots.
