Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a boat in the river Ganga passing through Varanasi, India.

Time

I love to capture moments during sunrise, and here I was on a boat looking east for the morning rays. The boats-men rowed their boat right into the frame!

Lighting

I wanted my wife to be lit keeping the boats-men in a silhouette.

Equipment

I used a Godox AD200 with a grid and shot it with my Canon 5D MIV.

Inspiration

The early morning, my wife watching the religious rituals on the river bank, the boats-men rowing in and going about their morning duties inspired me to create this frame.

Editing

A few tonal adjustments and this photo was ready!
