Location
This was shot close to my office, and pre-pandemic, this was (almost) the view from my window. It is of several of Glasgow's key landmarks, where currently the COP26 Climate Conference is taking place.Time
This was taken at lunchtime while getting fresh air on a short walk from my office. I noticed the stillness of the water and the almost mirror relection.Lighting
I chose to lighten the image and highly saturate the image to bring out the blueness of the sky and waterEquipment
This was shot on a Honor 10 mobile phone.Inspiration
In the right conditions, it is a beautiful view of some of Glasgow's most famous landmarks.Editing
I slightly lightened the image and saturated it to bring out the colours. In my camera bag
Its typical that my most viewed image on Viewbug is from a mobile phone. However my camera bag normally carries my Canon RP, Canon 28-80mm F/2.8L, Canon 50mm STM and Tamron 28-300mm. I am a hobbiest photograther - although photography has been a passion since childhood. I lost my way a little in the mid 2010's and relied on mobile phone photogrphy, however in 2019 I rekindled the passion and via a number of Nikon and Olympus cameras, I re-learned the skill of composition and have recently progressed onto the equipment I have now.Feedback
Don't expect every shot to be perfect. Most aren't. Enjoy your passion and if like me, its a hobby not a career, taken time to learn and increase your knowledge. Challenge yourself to be creative. Learn post production and play with it, but don't forget that it was a desire for photography that brought you here.
