Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in St. Kilda Melbourne, Australia. Melbourne offers some of the most beautiful sunsets on earth, daily.

Time

Sunset in this area is loved by all for obvious reasons.

Lighting

The lighting in Australia, especially in Melbourne is quite unique and nowhere on earth have I seen anything quite like it.

Equipment

This image is, believe it or not simply a Google Pixel 3 XL. I have been experimenting with various cameras on phones to compare their development with that of traditional DSLRs or Mirrorless cameras.

Inspiration

Melbourne sunsets are some of my favourite images and are what has inspired my love of photography.

Editing

No post processing was needed and I feel it would be somewhat misleading to alter such an image.

In my camera bag

My usual equipment includes a Sony A7 with a standard 16-50mm and telephoto just in case.

Feedback

Keep your head up. Literally. Don't look at your feet or ground when you walk. Take in your surroundings and you may find far more beauty than you think.
