My Darling..
..I am about to start my favorite pass time and that’s writing to you.
December 8, 1947.
To receive such a heavy letter, not knowing if it’ll be the last one.. Is a feeling no one should ever have to bare.
During the memorial day weekend my family and I went to check out the #USSMidway Museum in San Diego. In there my sister and I came across this wall of letters written out to their loved ones. I didn’t get to read them, but this one really stood out.
If you’ve lost someone who fought and served to protect us, know they are forever in our hearts and prayers.
If you know someone currently fighting to protect us, thank them and pray for them!
Their sacrifice is unlike anything we can ever imagine.
To all the men and women fighting for us, thank you!
