When the Son of the Sea meets Elatha, king of the Fomorians and the father of Elloth (grandfather of Manannán mac Lir).
It was worth waiting until late and seeing it with your own eyes. A truly amazing sight.

Location
Photo was taken at Gortmore Point in Northern Ireland. Where Manannán mac Lir ("son of the sea") statue is located. Manannán is a warrior and king of the Otherworld in Irish mythology who is associated with the sea and often interpreted as a sea god, usually as a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann.Time
I took this photo just after 12 midnight, about an hour after the moon rose.Lighting
I was planning this photo with my colleague for a long time using several applications to find the right transition angle. The statue stands on a cliff in complete darkness so I used 2 LED lamps to illuminate it to bring out some details.Equipment
I am currently using Sony A7rIV. For this photo I used a 200-600 @ 600mm and a very stable Benro tripod.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photo by the relationship of 2 deities from Irish mythology. As the Son of the Sea meets Elatha ( associated with sources of light and illumination, such as the Sun and Moon) king of the Fomorians and the father of Elloth (grandfather of Manannán mac Lir).Editing
2 Images were taken, one at 3sec exposure to capture the details on the statue and another one at half a second expsure which allowed me to capture the details of the moon. Then I combined these two photos in PS. Color corrected in Camera RAW Filter. In my camera bag
Usually my camera (Sony A7rIV) with 16-35G and 24-70 / or 200-600 lenses. Depending on the planned shots, I sometimes take a drone or a star tracker with me.Feedback
A well-planned shot is half the success . You have to be in the right place and time, which is relatively easy when you know the terrain and the location of objects in the sky in relation to objects on the ground. It is also good to have a photo taken during the day to know which focal length will work best.
