Why a Panorama is not done at 12mm is because of what is seen at the bottom of this image, TOO Much foreground and bending effect! A landscape view capture gives a 3:2 ratio panoramic in one shot with lots of sky and ground. A portrait view gives too much foreground, a reason to use a 20mm or 24mm just a half bit more of what the eyes see. Pano done in ON1 then Lr, Topaz Denoise, Topaz Gigapixel.
