I was waiting for my boyfriend to get done in the hardware store and watched this bird hunt down and catch dinner.

At a local bar, saw this ship across the bay. Reminded me so much of high school.

Location

This was at a job I had briefly. The power went out on my second day.

Time

Early afternoon. The higher ups in the company hadn't decided to send us home yet, so I started taking pictures.

Lighting

This is the ambient lighting. Unfiltered, not touched up, not even a flash.

Equipment

I used my cellphone camera - it was the only one I had with me.

Inspiration

I've always been fascinated by empty and abandoned spaces; while it was only a power outage, the place had that kind of vibe that afternoon.

Usually just cell phone in my pocket. I'm looking into investing in some better equipment.

Feedback

Good shots can be captured in even the most ordinary of places and circumstances. Keep your mind and eyes open, be willing to change perspectives a bit. And don't hesitate to take more than one shot from different vantage points, angles, and heights.
