Location
This photo was taken in a Delta Airline plane as we flew over Washington State towards SeaTac airport. It was taken from my window seat.Time
I took this photo around three o'clock in the afternoon.Lighting
Even though the sun was off to the left, I felt it brought a glow to the snow and the clouds.Equipment
It was taken with an iPhone 6se.Inspiration
I travel between Michigan and Washington state often. Michigan is where I live, Washington is where I was born and raised...I am a true Washingtonian. Mt Rainier is home to me. When I see her, I feel myself come together in peace because I know I'm home. I do love taking photos from the sky, simply because it brings our world into a different perspective. When I fly into Washington State, my eyes and heart are filled with peace.Editing
I used Lightroom only to remove a bit of the noise caused from the window. Normally, I avoid making any adjustments. Mt. Rainier is perfect as she stands. In my camera bag
I have a Sony A7Rii, with a 50mm as my standard landscape lens. I also have a wide angle lens, a 70-200, 18-55, and macro tubes. I have a tripod, and flash, along with my remote. I keep my backpack in the overhead when I'm flying, so I'm grateful iPhone has a good enough camera to get the shots I love from the sky.Feedback
Keep your eye on the sky. You never know what you might see. I always get a window seat, because I don't ever want to miss those moments like this sky shot. There is so much to see from that view that it should not be missed. If you don't have a phone with a good camera, keep you main camera around your next during the flight. Look for those moments to capture, and be okay with a little post editing to remove spots from the window...your vision will be appreciated for what it is.
