I photographed the above IRIS which was growing in one of three gardens which I have situated on my home property. I live in the province of Ontario in CANADA.Time
It was a sunny day in the afternoon but a maple leaf tree gave me all the shade that I required to photograph the shown Iris. I even remember taking the photograph.Lighting
One can either take a black or white material lightweight blanket or a larger size black or white or even Bristol Board to give the Iris its background color and of course I used 'black' like in the above photo. I find, by doing this the end result looks like the color 'POPS' in color.Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel T7i DSLR camera; with a Canon 18-55mm lens. I did not use a tripod nor a flash.Inspiration
I love taking photo's of flowers especially when they begin a new life in the spring. It's amazing the photograph one can take when they are still in the 'bud' stage aka just before they grow and start blooming. Try it as there is beauty all around us!Editing
I used a program which gave my above photo a clearer image. In my camera bag
When it comes to photographing flowers, I don't have to go far other than my own property to have the necessary lens for taking the photo. If I decide to switch a lens to a large one, all I have to do is walk into my home to grab the lens which I decided on.Feedback
SHADE and lots of it as I find shade makes for a good photo when it comes to photographing flowers. I do have a garden in the front of my house that absolutely has no shade. I mostly wait for cloudy conditions until I take a photograph.
