This is a static display of a dragline in the Fort McMurray Oilsands. I have taken photos of this during the day but I also chase Northern Lights so figured this would be a fine occasion to add a little backdrop imagery to the photo as well.aurora

No northern lights to chase and the steel wool was a mix of fine and course. used a large whisk and filled it up with wool and then started spinning.

This is a stacked image of extended multiple exposures to get the trails. shutter speed was slowed down to produce multiple trails over time. 45 image
