The second flower of my red hot Phragmipedium Andean Fire, a sequential bloomer and normally opening after the previous flower has fallen, each lasting about 3 weeks. This year it has an added side branch on the bloom stalk coming up from below. It should be blooming constantly until August or longer.
Phrag. Andean Fire is a primary cross of 2 species, besseae x lindleyanum, getting its red color from besseae and increased flower size, number of blooms as well as interesting form from lindleyanum.
