On our first day of the trip to Madeira, the archipelago was hit by about 20,000 electrical discharges, strong winds and heavy rain.
We have never seen anything like this.
Against all my expectations, next morning, and despite the little colored sunrise, a momentary gap in the thick clouds allowed me to capture this moment of light touching Ponta de São Lourenço. That happened only for a few seconds. After that, the sky got darker and darker and the rain fell again, but I knew I could pack all the gear leave with a smile, because the image was done.
