Behind The Lens

Location

At the Washington DC National Arboretum

Time

This was taken in the afternoon of a late summer day. The National Arboretum is just a beautiful place to go visit in Washington DC

Lighting

I tried to use the sunlight to make the columns look grander than they already are.

Equipment

Nikon D70, Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED

Inspiration

These columns are a part of our American history and democracy. These were the original columns of when the capitol was built and had seen many former presidents walk through the doors of the capital. As well as seen many historical laws passed on those hallowed grounds of the Capitol building

Editing

I use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe photoshop

In my camera bag

Oh wow, well I've been just doing photography for about 3 years now. My bag has grown in that short period of time. I have my Nikon d40 camera, I have my camera cleaning kit, my wide-angle lens, and two telephoto lenses. I have also two flashes.

Feedback

Take your time and walk around your object if possible and try to visualize your shot in your head and then you can capture it on camera. I also suggest taking several to a lot of shots, you will like some and then you see one that is perfect that you didn't realize you took.
