I took this photo on a solo backpacking trip in California's Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. After setting up camp, I scrambled up a ridge nearby in search of the best location to watch the next day's sunrise. While up on the ridge, I took a few preliminary shots, including this one of the afternoon sunlight streaming through the clouds behind a large tree.
