Location

This photo was taken at Nairobi National Park.

Time

It was late in the evening at 6:15pm as we were leaving the park

Lighting

The sun was setting fast and light levels were dropping.

Equipment

Samsung Note 20 Ultra at 1x gave me the best wide field of view.

Inspiration

As we crested a hill on our way to the exit, we had this breathtaking view of a huge tower of giraffes heading across the plains in single file.

Editing

A little using Snapseed. For this one, I simply used the BW filter.

In my camera bag

Nikon camera, telephoto lens, Samsung Phone, Tripod

Feedback

While knowing that in order to take a great shot, you must be well prepared, knowing your environment and subject. Sometimes getting the best shot is a matter of timing, not gear. I find that the versatility of the phones available nowadays allows you to not miss a moment or waste time with lens changes when the beauty of what you are looking at could be lost in an instant. They are another tool in your bag!
