I had never seen a low tide of this magnitude before - the water receded from the coast for many hundreds of meters. It was fun to walk in the late evening where the water surface spread during the day and vacationers splashed (the beach and fencing buoys are visible in the far left), and now enterprising Thais were poking around with metal detectors in search of jewelry, colorful boats got stuck in the dunes, giving up the anchors, and the bottom was starfish and scurrying crabs.
