This is an image that I have been chasing for quite some time. I even had a trip to London when we were not in lockdown, intending to capture an image that represented and communicated how COVID made me feel.
I ended up with just street shots of an empty London. I enjoyed the day out and had some OK images, but it was not what I was seeking photographically. Then, on Tuesday last week, I want for a wander in my local town to exercise, get out of the house and I took my camera. I captured a few shots of Bell Street in Sawbridgeworth the main high street. As I walked back, I preconceived the image you see here.
Another trip back and more shots and I was able to create this cityscape (town), panorama, street, portrait image. Rarely, am I as pleased as I am with my COVID image idea. Mainly because I was able to recreate the vision I had imagined. It took a few days work, but I got there and thoroughly enjoyed the process.
The original TIFF file is a monster but contains so much detail. If whilst you Explore Flickr you come across my image and you like it (or don't) please leave a comment.
