I was at Lake Morton Park in Lakeland, Florida on August 21, 2020 when a small flock of Wood Storks landed by the lake.The wood stork (Mycteria americana) was considered endangered from 1984 to 2014 when it was upgraded to threatened,
They deigned to allow me to get within several feet of them for some closeup photography and this is one result of that encounter. It was originally a color photiograph, but I converted it to black and white.
