The photo was taken in the cut on cty rd F near my home. I always have felt a connection with nature ( balance). I was 17 when I first was face to face with a black bear in the wild (literally nose to nose). This area of the photo ia extra special. Thru the yrs I've felt a draw to the cut area. As a child my brithwr n I played not far from it. Then we were seperated for equal payments of support. A bunch of yrs later I was hikimf thru the cut and paused at a spring to catch some natural relax. I noticed as I was reachi g for a particular stone, a mans arm I didn't recognize w a reachkng for same stone from othwr direction across. I leaned in further and about fell in the spring. Goodness Sakes! Staring me in thw face was my twin brother Pete!! I was beside my self with emotions to see my brothers face (and recognize it), I didnt figure I would id ever I saw him again! Except maybe was that mornong as I was brushing my teeth.Time
Late morning aeoind between 9 & 11 if I recall correct. It was the first R-E-AL cpld day. Whore frost was everywhere across Wisco I think that day.Lighting
All the loghting used in this picture and 99% of my pics is natural ( is what is as I'm seeing it). I did mess with the adjustment, ive just always like B/W over most color.Equipment
I have only two xamera i currently carry almost 100% of the time I'm outside. The first is a secondhand store Kodak EZshare, that I purchased for $6.99. The other and the one uaed this day was my prepaid Wal-Mart $20 android phone ( amazing lens).Inspiration
The still frozen air feeling I was getting as I was driving thru heading to town.Editing
I did manipuulate the final as to try and convey the "Dead End" as in some B films do. Kind of a dont go too far on that road feeling from within. In my camera bag
