Location
The photo was taken in the far north of the Québec over the February month during a very cold period.Time
I took that photo in the early morning period, the weather was very cold ( Around -32 f ) and the days light was really smooth.Lighting
That was early in the morning and therefore the light was a bit low and smooth, this allows me to have a soft and well equilibrate light. Taking the same photo in the middle of the day in that kind of environment, with all the bright and sparkling snow, could result in some exposure and contrast problem and even with a colours noise.Equipment
A camera Sony A65 with a Tamron 150-600mm LensInspiration
The evident curiosity of the fox, he was looking at me directly in the eyes, not afraid of my presence and seems trying to communicate with me.Editing
Not really, the photo was very nice with the ambient light. In my camera bag
A Sony A7R II, a Sony 77, a Sony lens 18-55mm, a Sony lens 70-300mm, a Tamron lens G2 150-600mm, a monopod, a kit of ND filters, a tripod and few spare batteries.Feedback
A bit of luck, a lot of patience and of self-control, no fast move, a lot of silence and always have your equipment close and ready to use.
